For 20 years Sudanese Christians had been under attack from northern Sudanese forces, forcing them into crowded refugee caesefire occurred in 2007.

Kaya is a South Sudanese town bordering north Uganda that has become a rapidly growing region of repatriation and one which is open to Evangelical Christian activities. Sudan Christian Ministries (SCM) is an indigenous charity dedicated to spiritual and physical well being of Sudanese people.

High Adventure (HAGCM) has partnered with SCM to construct and operate the Ngun Kata (God hears) Christian FM 96.0 radio station in and for Kaya, the Ambassadors Christian school and the SCM women's ministry.

Ngun Kata is a small very under funded Christian radio station, operating from a grass hut, situated high on Prayer Mountain, overlooking Sudan (north), Uganda (south) and the Congo (west). Geographically situated to minister to 3 countries, Ngun Kata cannot reach them, due to insufficient transmitter strength and power supply. This very strategic Christian radio ministry could have a significant impact on hundreds of thousands of displaced people (from conflicts in North Uganda and South Sudan) and even rebel LRA forces (hiding in Congo) bringing biblically based messages of peace together with life saving health messaging in local community languages. But it cannot do so unless a larger transmitter, antenna and power supply is acquired. Land, licensing, staff and a strong commitment are in place-only the equipment funding is required.
